Maintenance, repair & restoration We are very proud of the meticulous quality and attention to fine detail of our work. Saxophones are our passion and as sax players ourselves, we understand the difference between an adequate job and a pedantically perfect one. Here are a few tell-tale signs that your Sax may be due for a service or in need of repair: - Does your G# or low C# key stick?
- When you are just about to play the low notes on your horn, do you cross your fingers hoping that your instrument will play the correct note?
- Have you just changed mouthpieces and find playing your Sax is a hard task?
- Are some notes stuffy?
- Are you squeezing some keys too hard to make certain notes sound?
- Is the pressure on your keys even throughout the range?
- Are the higher notes out of tune?
- Is your Sax sounding like a percussion instrument?
If you answered yes to any of the following you should contact us right away! From simple repairs & adjustments right through to returning horns back to original manufacturers specifications, we love making clunky, tired or unplayable horns feel and play "brand new" or better!
This Selmer Balanced Action Baritone Saxophone came to us looking like it had been through both world wars and had fought really hard battles. The restoration was a labour of time and love for our master technicians. The result speaks for itself. It is great that such a treasure is now being played and loved but it's new owner.
